Collaborating on Cyclospora Prevention

The LGMA is working along with produce industry leaders, buyers, regulators, researchers, subject matter experts and a consumer advocate together through a collaborative effort to identify practical steps that can be taken to reduce the risk of future Cyclospora outbreaks. This group had its first meeting earlier this month. While Cyclospora is not considered endemic to California, the outbreak also demonstrated how food safety events occurring elsewhere can impact California growers.
