New Environmental Assessments Training

The objective of this program is to teach Supervisors and food safety personnel how to perform “Pre-Season, Pre-Harvest and Daily Harvest Environmental Assessments.” This workbook is part of the Arizona Leafy Greens Food Safety Training Kit and was recently updated to include pre-season environmental assessments. The information in this program is presented through a brief explanation of the concepts and several activities, case studies, and quizzes.

Bridge Training: Cleaning and Sanitizing Harvesting Equipment Training

The Bridge Training has been developed for those individuals who have previously taken the LGMA Cleaning and Sanitizing Harvesting Equipment training. This training is designed to cover the new requirements of the LGMA metrics related to harvest cleaning and sanitation.

To meet audit requirements, certificates for both the original LGMA Harvest Cleaning and Sanitation Training and the Bridge Training module will need to be available for the auditor.

New Cleaning and Sanitizing Harvesting Equipment Training

This training module focuses on teaching the proper cleaning and sanitizing practices of leafy greens harvesting equipment and utensils. The Cleaning and Sanitizing Harvesting Equipment Training course has been developed to:

· Assist the leafy greens industry in implementing practices for growing, harvesting, and transporting leafy greens that conform to the LGMA Metrics.

· Provide the knowledge, tools, and resources necessary to properly train sanitation crew managers and employees in proper cleaning and sanitizing practices.

· Ensure that leafy greens industry trainers are equipped to train other employees to perform these procedures consistently and uniformly.
